As your doula I will spend time getting to know you and your family, learning about what you want your birth to look like, exploring any reservations you might be carrying, and figuring out exactly what type of support you need. Our antenatal sessions are a chance for us to really get to know each other, so that when the time comes to birth your baby you can feel comforted and reassured that you are with someone who understands your wishes and cares deeply about you and your baby’s physical and emotional wellbeing. My goal throughout our relationship is to ensure that you have the information you need to tune into your powerful intuition, step into your power, and navigate birth and those early postnatal weeks calmly and confidently.
I offer doula support in Stamford and the surrounding areas, including Peterborough, Bourne, The Deepings, and Rutland.
The below describes a 'standard' birth doula service, but there is no one-size fits all in birth. If you're seeking support from a doula but have specific needs or questions then get in touch - I'd love to chat about how I can support you.
The Original Birth Package
- At least two in-person antenatal visits, during which we will talk about your hopes for your upcoming birth and postnatal period, discuss any previous birth and feeding experiences, talk through any comfort or coping measures you may wish to utilise during birth, and work together to create a birth plan and postnatal plan that you and your partner (where applicable) are happy with
- WhatsApp, telephone or email support throughout your pregnancy, as required
- A 4 week on-call period for your birth, usually starting from 38 weeks
- Loving, nurturing support as you birth your baby - wherever that takes place and whatever it looks like, I will be by your side, supporting you however you need
- At least one postnatal visit, during which time we can discuss your birth experience in detail. I can also offer help with feeding your baby, understanding normal infant behaviour, baby-wearing support, infant care and providing additional resources where needed

It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve done it - welcoming a new baby is a huge adjustment! A postnatal doula can provide you with the support you need to focus on what's important - bonding with your baby, establishing breastfeeding, and recovering from birth. Postnatal doula support looks different for everyone - whether you need breastfeeding support, help with baby-wearing, someone to hold the baby while you shower or sleep, or just someone to sit with you while you tell your story, I'm here for whatever you need.

Parenting doesn’t stop overnight, and lack of sleep can be one of the most challenging things about welcoming a new baby. Rest is so important to postnatal recovery. Advice to 'sleep when the baby sleeps' is well-meaning but often not achievable, particularly if you have older children at home.
I offer overnight doula support in Stamford and the surrounding areas, allowing you to catch up on much needed sleep. You'll be safe in the knowledge that your baby is being cared for in a loving, nurturing way - no 'training' methods here. I will share a room with your baby, bringing them to you for breastfeeding as required, then resettling them while you get straight back to sleep. I usually offer overnight support from 10pm-6am, although I am often able to be flexible to suit your needs.

Have you got any niggling questions or worries about birth or the early postpartum days?
Need help putting together a kick-ass birth plan?
Perhaps you've received some advice or recommendations that doesn't feel comfortable or that you'd hoped to avoid. It can be really difficult to be placed in this position and to feel as though your birth plan is no longer achievable.
My Pregnancy Power Hour is designed to help you talk through your questions or concerns with somebody impartial. As a doula I do not offer medical advice, nor can I tell you what to do. What I can do is help you tune into your superpower - your own intuition - and help you begin to unravel your options (because yes, there are always options in birth!). I can also tap into my superpower - an incredible network of doulas in South Lincolnshire and beyond - to help you find the information you need to make the choices that feel right for you and your baby.
This is a 90 minute session over Zoom or in the comfort of your own home - whatever your preference. Available in Stamford and surrounding areas.
£40 per session, deductible from my birth and postnatal doula services should you go on to book a package with me.
